In 2000, Mr Chandrakant Shingtay started with a simple concept of selling seedlings from his nursery to the neighbouring farms. Over the following five years, this evolved into a large polyhouse operation covering different vegetables and fruit seedlings. Alongside fruit and vegetables, the nursery also diversified into Marigold seedlings production.

From 2017 onwards, Mr Abhishek Shingtay joined the business after finishing his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Science. He formalised and streamlined the nursery operations.

He noticed the growing demand for Watermelon seedlings from the farmers. With his academic background, he started conducting field trials for different Watermelon varieties. After completing the rigorous scientific trials he was able to establish a Package of Practices to maximise the yield and the quality of the Watermelon crop. He followed these research trials with technical consultation and advisory to the farmers.
